Shuttle Boxes & Transport Crates

A part passes through several subcontractors before it is finished: transport crates and boxes with foam padding carry it safely between them.

InsertsBlack PE-foam insert with a lid and a cut-out cavity

Foam Inserts & Technical Parts

PE foam cut to shape: cushioning inserts and technical components for the aerospace industry.

Sewn protection that completes the foam

Covers and tarpaulins sewn to your specification in our own factory, for components, fuselage parts and production lines, in the textile our purchasing team selects for each requirement. Barrier packaging and pocket trolleys keep metal parts free of corrosion, electronics safe from static and painted parts apart.

Why Cellutec

Engineering depth behind every aircraft protection

The complete protective system for the aircraft, from one partner.

Foam protection inside and outside the aircraft, from the engine intake to the cabin floor, with sewn covers and fitted cases, designed and made in our own factory in Romania. Fewer suppliers to manage, less integration risk, one design dialogue.

Cellutec Aeronautics advantage

Protection for the aircraft itself

Foam and sewn protections for the aircraft during assembly and maintenance: cabin-floor work mats, cargo-hold floors, engine-intake mattresses and wing-edge guards.

What you need to know

Aeronautics: frequently asked questions

Answers on the aircraft parts we protect, our quality system, shuttle crates, reusable and one-way packaging, ESD safety, covers and tarpaulins, and what to send for a quote.

What aircraft parts and work areas does Cellutec protect?

Cellutec România designs custom foam and sewn products for new-aircraft construction and maintenance: engines and wing edges, sensitive parts in shuttle crates, engine work mats and cargo-hold, lower-fuselage and wing protections during assembly, electrical panels and posts in the plant, and fitted interiors for workshop trolleys and equipment cases.

Which quality system does Cellutec work under?

Cellutec România works under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Its aeronautics protections are designed and made to each customer's drawings, parts or specifications and, for tarpaulins and covers, in the material best suited to the need. If your program sets a packaging or material requirement, include it in your inquiry: we reply within 3 working days.

Does Cellutec make shuttle crates for aircraft parts?

Yes. Cellutec România designs shuttle crates for sensitive aircraft parts in transport and storage, and supplies custom-made plastic containers with or without inserts. The Cellutec Group has designed and built a series of large wooden shuttle crates for the aeronautics sector, with crosslinked and non-crosslinked PE foam.

Reusable or one-way packaging: which suits aircraft parts?

It depends on how often the part travels. ATA Spec 300 classes containers by expected reuse: Category I for at least 100 round trips, II for at least 10, III for one trip. If your program requires a category, state it in your inquiry. Cellutec România designs shuttle crates and custom containers, and one-way foam-and-cardboard packs.

Can Cellutec protect aircraft structure during assembly and maintenance?

Yes. Cellutec România designs engine work mats and cargo-hold, lower-fuselage and wing protections for the assembly phase. Its cabin-floor mats can combine a non-slip top coating, a cellular-rubber comfort layer and a rigid PE base, with tool pockets and a position label. For maintenance, FlyProtec, a reusable PE-foam leading-edge protection, is handled by one person.

Can aeronautics packaging be ESD-safe for electronic parts?

Yes. Cellutec România supplies foam inserts with ESD or anti-static treatment, and ESD films and bags, for electronic parts that must be protected from static discharge. Send the part and the protection your program requires with your inquiry, and we will propose the material.

Can Cellutec make covers and tarpaulins for aircraft components?

Yes. In its own factory, Cellutec România sews tarpaulins, covers and specific protections to the customer's specification, for sensitive aircraft components, fuselage parts, production lines and the people who work on them. Its purchasing team selects the material best suited to each requirement.

What do I need to send for a quote?

Send the part, or your drawings or specifications, with its size and weight, the route it travels, your quantities and your timelines. If your program sets a packaging or material requirement, include that too. We will propose a solution from there.
